Lab news: New paper

New paper with partners from CFM and DIPC

The title is "Zwitterionic ring-opening polymerization for the facile, efficient and versatile grafting of functional polyethers onto graphene sheets". Obviously, the main part of this was done at DIPC and CFM. Our role was the investigation of the interface of the functionalised graphene with water. Environmental SEM is quite useful for this because one can observe droplets even on rather small (micron-sized) flakes of graphene. The influence of the polyether coating is striking. The image shows several of the very largest water droplets we produced, up to 30 micron in diameter. A big thank you to Fabienne!
