The registration period for the nanotechnology course at the PREST-GARA program is open
NanoGUNE offers a nanotechnology introductory course to high-school science and technology teachers in the framework of the Prest Gara program of the Department of Education, Language Policy, and Culture of the Basque Government. The lessons will take place in November and December 2015.
Nanotechnology allows to transform matter at the atomic and molecular scale. But, what is it useful for? What can we really do and which are the challenges for the future?
This course pretends to approach the daily activity of researchers and companies workin with "nano" to high-school teachers. Its objectives are to understand the key concepts of nanotechnology, to describe the theoretical framework and the fundamental technological tools, to present the current research challenges in the field, to get insight on the everyday life of scientists and researchers and to remark the relevance of the interaction between research, education, companies, and society in general.
The registration period for the 2015-2016 course is open from 7th to 25th September. The lessons will take place from 3rd November to 3rd December, every Tuesday and Thursday (17:30-20:00).
