NIKLAS FRIEDRICH GETS RSEF-EPJ+ AWARD FOR BEST EXPERIMENTAL PHD THESIS
The Spanish Royal Society of Physics has awarded him with this prize after granting him with the Gefes 2023 Award for best experimental PhD thesis in condensed matter physics.
Niklas Friedrich from nanoGUNE’s Quantum-Probe Microscopy group has obtained the RSEF-EPJ+ Award due to his experimental PhD thesis entitled “Electronic Transport through Suspended Graphene Nanoribbons Using a Scanning Tunneling Microscope”.
The award consists of an accreditation diploma and the public recognition during the celebration of the next RSEF Biennial Meeting, as well as the opportunity to publish an article based on the results of the thesis at no editorial cost in a special EPJ+ collection and a 1000€ prize. The RSEF Biennial Meeting will be celebrated in Donostia San Sebastian in July 2024, where Niklas Friedrich and other awardees will be recognized.
