Altermagnets are a novel class of compensated magnets that are characterized by zero net magnetization while showing time-reversal symmetry breaking. These materials present alternating spin polarization in both crystal and electronic structure. Thus, they are of great interest in spintronics as they exhibit effects such as anomalous Hall effect (AHE), typical of ferromagnets, without having a net magnetization, as is the case of antiferromagnets. In this work, we integrate altermagnetic Mn5Si3 in a lateral spin valve demonstrating electrical spin injection.
