Infiltration

An artifact image was obtained after exposing the organic/inorganic sample to the focused ion beam (FIB). The brighter areas are indium oxide infiltrated into the darker polymer matrix. The structure was heavily damaged with the FIB and, therefore, had this boiling-like appearance. The image was obtained with the scanning electron microscope FEI Helios 450.
