Life in CIC NanoGUNE (Seminar room)

In this part of the Ph.D. Workshop, a member of each group will give a short talk about the research developed in the group. This person is going to give an overview about what his/her group is working on and even explain the main concepts regarding the science carried out.

How to apply for a fellowship? (Seminar room)

We will present various postdoc fellowship options for Ph.D. students who want to continue in academia after they defend their Thesis.

Life after CIC NanoGUNE (Seminar room)

We invited nanoGUNE´s former Ph.D. students to share their experiences regarding the various aspects of "what comes next". As they undertook different paths in life, we will have the possibility to see how their scientific education affects them in their current work field. Each session will contain 2 speakers and 3 videos. Our guests will be Marco Gobbi (CFM, San Sebastian), José Maria Porro (BC Materials, Bilbao), Estitxu Villamor (UPV/EHU, Vitoria), Iban Amenabar (CIC nanoGUNE, San Sebastian).

nanoQUIZ (Interaction area)

The last session of the Workshop will consist of a nanoQuiz where we will test your knowledge about science, the history of nanoGUNE, lab practices and miscellaneous nanoGUNE curiosities. Teams will be randomly created and the winners will receive a special surprise. The session will be accompanied by refreshments.
